This year the classes are Melges 20, Smeralda 888, J70, Longtze Premier and the new entry H22. This has taken the place of the Star Class.
 the new H2-2 (hydrogen), will she become a new star in the sea???
yes... astronomical metaphor

Of sure this year, the one design format will be very interesting on “fluid-dynamic” performance having all hulls a length very similar between each other and all with the gennaker.:
Melges 20=20[ft];
H22=22[ft];
J70=22.74[ft]
Longtze Premier=22,31[ft].

In particular the crews of the new class have big expectation, considering that they spend 90% of the time on the lake of Lecco (a.k.a. lago di Como) and lake of Garda, they have a new main sponsor (AON) and the ex O.R.C. World Champion Roberto Spata (who has optimized sails-set and layout of the hull designed by Rob Humphreys) is present.

And this could be a good thing, because the weather forecast is again unpredictable with light wind all week, and this could shift the spotlight from the competition to wind maps.

YCM Team Ready,
Crews and Boats Ready,
Photographers Ready,
