Like for the Monaco Classic Week, the 41° Régates Royales Cannes has opened the Day 0 with rain, but this time the Day 1 has the real wind.
The RéRo, also is the last stress-test for the classic series after the divorce of PANERAI, and the crew of the organization is doing the Top to keep the standards of the past, even with the smaller budget.

So a thanks to them to give to all press people the opportunity to speak and shoot the event!!!

The port is full as usual and so the first day, it’s the Dragon’s day.

“E devi essere un Drago per il campo di oggi” (n.d.t.: You need to be a Dragon for the field today), yes because the first start had the perfect condition: sunny, small waves and wind constant up 8-10[kts] with gust to 15[kts] and the fleet was compacted, the second, after a long AP flag for the change of the thermal breeze (but it remained westerly), the waves rise in frequency and power with the wind up to 18-20[kts] with some gust up to 25[kts] and the crew has to be skilled to do not brake or be in trouble. From the 29th position and down all boats are DNF (Do Not Finished).

At the time to right I cannot report the protest and the mast broken status. The class is making a great show on water and it’s just the “aperitivo” to the next event in Sanremo: 90th Anniversary!
