Well, a part to be in hurry d/t the connection, the meteo was optimistic, and to place the starting line has been complicate because the wind was totally unstable.
However we had a race: departure as usual in front to the port, direction N-E disengage mark and direction to Palm Beach via Juan les Pins bay (better, a parking zone for Yachts) and return.
The problem today has been survive to the low power of the wind vs the power of some “big wave” the has made really a challenge for Bowman, Trimmer and all the crew to keep open the spinnaker/gennaker). At the end the R.C. had been obliged to short the race to some classes.
The big lady Cambria, just walk around “alone” and arrived alone

Wonderful compare between the two America’s cup 12MJi, a generation gap has showed the NZ the power of the boat:
after the start the 2 boats followed each other on “similar” route, but a wall in the middle of field (named mega yachts Octopus) has determined that the NZ has a huge advantage in the angle (TWA) upwind, French Kiss had been obliged to tack inside the megayacht, while the KIW1 was able to keep a route in front and pass way .

Also on the first down wing leg, the distance increased. What I discovered from the standing, is that something happened on the way back (probably hole of wind) because the local has won the first race, while the KIWI is second…

The kamikaze tactical of the day has been made by the Spanish boat CALIMA ESP 4622 has decided to tack just 1-2 length from the line and they were on the route of collision the the Argentinians.

The best recovery after mistake has been: Viola, something that no-one expect from a so level team: They hosted the Spinnaker/Gennaker with 90° rotation; however they managed to keep the momentum, hoisting the jib series, recovering the the sail, and resetting the spinnaker on the right lines. Really a great team job! Bravo!!! (Wrong hoist 11:10:30UTC, Recovered 11:11:27UTC, Already back to full power 11:16:53UTC)
The day for the crews has finished the the on docks Paella dinner.
