Rosso di sera bel Tempo si spera (n.d.t.: Red in the evening nice Weather hopefully)
Here we are finally after the covid stop in 2020, the last main event of sailing is taking place: the 64th Nice Christmas Regatta - Trophée Jacques Puisségur.
The hopes are high, as the title says, the sunset on the horizon was Red as the Esterel silhouette. This year the event is not only “a regatta” of SSL circuit (250 points) but also the French championship (open, so everyone can be) and the District 9th championship. We have 2 star to stick on the sail!!!
Unfortunately after a good 33 boats registered, 8 has to resign do to COVID restriction or positive test, but back as usual there's an American boat (Smith Doug and Avellon Guy), as the farther; second the two Scandinavian teams (Finland and Sweden), 12 Nations on the field.
If some big name are missing, like Xavier Rohart, there’s a come back the double star: Diego Negri + Sergio Lambertenghi. The first fresh of World Champion title and vice European Champion.

Everything it’s ready, first day is full with double stages: 2 races in the morning, and 1-2 in the noon (I love morning but noon is more energetic! if the sun will appear). At risk the last day, but now lets start!
