Non c’è due senza tre (n.d.t.: there’s not two without three), and the sailors has another challenge, low speed wind and “big” wave (about 1-1.2[m], it’s the mediterranean at the end of spring) and the field has been very demanding in tactic. The field has been the nr. 7, and the committee for precaution has shorted it on the second turn on the mark near the beaches of Villeneuve-loubet (well done R.C.).

On this stage we have observed the departure of the big, and I don’t get why ORIANDA 2012 was stuck just after the starting line, but maybe some technical problem as she result retired.
Remaining on the Big boat, the top place of the podium is confirmed, the new entry VIVEKA 1929 has won the LVA with a day in advance!

While for all others today is the decision day, yes all standing are dominated by the first with a series of first places but the gap is really small.
The hot part of the track has been the wayback from the small lighthouse of the Cap d’Antibes (before to arrive to the Eden Roc resort) to the mark in the “far east”.

This part has been dominated by Cambria K-4, and I said all!
In the EAA class the battle continue between P-Class and SCUD, in particular on this leg the Olympian P-14 has made to overtake all and just finish behind Chinook NY-48 in real time.

Jour de Fête Q-16 after the crash yesterday, has been able to race and making a first place: really a Good News!
At moment no protest for this day and no injured (I hope).
One more race, at moment, forecast are getting better so crossed fingers.
