If the French authority didn't close the border in 2021 for COVID before I could reach home, today I could say that I'm 10! Yes, my first Primo Cup is dated 2014, and the first day I was on board, as sailor, to a J24 of the YCM "Riot". The club building was still on the other side of the port (now it's the International School).

This year we have new sponsor (yup last year, it was on air, the last official activity of the Credit Swiss): UBS bank, new Poster (the creator is doing a very good job for sometime now), new class boat: Cape 31 (a thirty-one feet, very modern and we already know in LVST).

The race is keeping up its standard, at for now the weather has been as should be, in spring time on the coast, sunny and a little chilly (about 20[°C]).

About boats: we have a lot :-))) (entry list is up to date 2024Mar05) the new entry Cape 31 has 5 ladies, the Longtze Premier has 12 coloured hulls, the Smeralda 888 at moment 13 (I think is missing one) and the J70 has a lot above 45.

At this late dark time, I could find some heavy weight, as usual in the autoctona class: Charles De Bourbon Siciles (VAMOS MI AMOR MON-6), is here to defend his title, but it will be hard, because the list has one boat that is really heavy, as sailors as gold medals on the neck: Luigia SUI-11.

The entry show as helmsman one of the brothers, La Scala, the other is on board, and if this is already not enough they have brought on-board theirs protégés Giorgio Poggi (Finn champion and olympic athlete) and Duccio Colombi (champion of many, sailing coach and team coach for VeleRosa). So what do you think? The fight is already hot, and, I'm waiting the confirmation from the paper, maybe we will have a "terzo in comodo che potrebbe roper le uova" (n.d.t.: third wheel that could break eggs).

ps.: I was forgetting, on board of three boats of the Smeralda 888 we have also the Zaoli's family.

A personal note: for a while long time ago, I've been the bowman of another lady La Scala's brothers: BAU BAU, the beautiful 6mIR ITA-58 on the Lago di Lecco, I'm very happy to see them again! they love beautiful boats (don't forget Classic Dingy)

The day, after a very light wind practise race in the noon, has been closed by our weather man, with the mystery.

Since the 2022 J70 championship, the club provides to the sailors a meteo briefing made by Navimeteo with Gianfranco Meggiorin on the stage.

Which mystery? of course the weather, there's some possibilities, by national weather alert, that we will have big waves and too much strong wind. After a look to the maps and satellites, this morning I'm in positive mood, why Neptune should make troubles to the 40° anniversary of the race???
