Finally a day of “good” race, the R.C.has found the way to launch all the classes, May 30. Again on race track n.9!
The first start has been like yesterday, with a lot of more fight, again P-7 has decided a very aggressive left tack on the pin start, with the other pushing her back and the others a soon as possible tacking to go left till everyone has found the way for the mark.
The stage today has been all for the battle between P-Class boats and the NY-Class with Rowdy today less powerful than yesterday. They continue the fight to the second mark to start the downing leg, till the mark near La Siesta, where the situation was stable.
At the mark to hoist the Spi/Gennaker, in this very light condition, we have beautiful championship of the capability of the crew. One, sorry my friends, MANITU has really need to retry the exam, confirmed later near the beach when the Spinnaker was flying alone without boom. The other side there’s Stormy Weather that creating 2 small team, one in the centre to recover the Genoa, and one on the bow to hoist the sail, no problem and very fast well done mates.
One has been save in the corner, Pareltje USA-001 has placed the gennaker under the bow before the mark, but thankfully they could recover it without any problems (check the picture).
On the front of the big boat, with a very late departure, Black Swan and EILEAN have bee the most damaged by the wind too weak, mean while the well oiled winner machine MARISKA D-1 has made her job, a spectacular job by the crew of HALLOWE ‘EN 2, in particular my friends on the bow, I expect a hug for the shots!
A mention of honour to the YCM boat, that in this condition they are squeezing everything from their boat ARGYNNE III A-3 but the lady is a bit heavy so again out of time.
The day has finished with the party and the match (Who won???, I don’t care Italy is out and it’s Football!) with more than 2k of people to dance and enjoy the night
